Not sure how it was reverted but I used to be able to swipe down from anywhere on my screen and it will pull down the notifications panel. However now it opens up the app drawer how do I revert this change? I've looked through settings for display in advance and I can't seem to locate it

thanks for the reply. That does work to add a background to the individual conversations (where i can text from) However for the overall summary "Conversation" and "Contacts" pages where it displays all open conversations and contacts it just appears with a plain white background.

So the standard summary text screen is very plain can this be changed? I am able to change the background for the actual text messages but can't seem to find the settings for the entry text screen. TIA

deleted google home and then reset the phone!! wow this is probably what has been destroying my battery life. Saved me from doing another factory reset thanks folks

new batteries and a factory wipe did it for me. its been running very smooth and clean since then. fingers crossed.

I"m with tmobile and i get the same issue from time to time. Usually i'll pull the sim card out and do a reboot that seems to help. Never got a reason from the carrier.
