News Don't buy the Galaxy Z Fold 6 — here's what you should get instead this Black Friday

I have stopped buying brand new phones for over $1K a long time ago. Sporting a ZFlip 3 from Samsung (got it new for $350 a year ago) and have a Pixel 6a as my backup. Don't feel like I'm missing anything with the newer phones. Will probably buy a Moto Razr of some kind in the next year or so...

News UGREEN NASync DXP2800 review: One of the best 2-bay NAS servers you can buy today

I went with the QNAP TS-262 that has a dual core celeron, 4 Gig RAM (expanded with another 4 Gig Sodimm), 2.5 GBE port, 2 M.2 NVME (only 3x1) for only $279 (missed the Black friday price of $239). Been very happy with it so far - don't understand the why QNAP isn't at least an option when...

Amazon Fire Max 11 review: Punching way above its weight class

There are a number of Chromebooks that meet/beat this tablet. So, I'm not sure what he is comparing this to.

LG G6 and LG V20 - Free LG Minibeam and B&O Earphone

Re: LG G6 and LG V20 - Free LG Minibeam and B&O Earphone Weren't you within the Return/Exchange period for the two phones you just bought.

    Sleep tracking on Gear s2...

When you buy a smartwatch (particularly a "non-essential" purchase) you certainly want it to work in all the ways it is supposed to work. I don't think it's ridiculous to return a watch that doesn't do one of its core functions. And, BTW, sleep tracking is about more than just the number of...

    Moto Z Play Battery Life

I picked up the Turbo on clearance from Verizon for $199 full price and am still using it. Great Battery Life, OK camera. The 805 is a very good processor and no idea how long it will work but in no hurry to get a new one.

    Moto Z Play Battery Life

Except, just like with cars, they wouldn't be able to charge max profit. They put all of the best tech (especially the camera) in the highest end phones, with ridiculously oversized resolution (I notice little to no difference with the 1440P displays on my LG G4 and Moto Droid Turbo). The best...

    Moto Z Play Battery Life

If you don't need financing (or if you do you can get it from Moto Direct) you can buy it cheaper from Verizon, it's unlocked, and has the all the bands for ATT & TMo and worldwide use. It's only $408 direct from Verizon.

Would you still buy the Turbo 1 today?

Actually, just picked up one to use as a daily driver. I really believe the Flagship phones of any year (in this case I think the Turbo was 2014) are more than capable. As for updates I don't worry about them - everyone seems to think they are entitled to updates at no cost when there is a...

    Have Flagship Phone sales peaked???

Do you really need the latest and greatest device every year or even every other year. With the demise of 2 year contracts and the $199/$249 flagship are people really willing to lay out $649 (or more) for the newest flagship. Even on the payment plans your still looking at around $30/month...

    Anyone getting a Moto Z?

Re: Anyone getting one? I wouldn't bet that the unlocked version will work with Verizon - especially since they are selling a Droid edition of the exact same phone.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the DROID TURBO

I guess you weren't paying attention when it came to software updates for Android - even when Google went to carriers and OEMs to try and work this out they were only looking for 18 months of updates. The 2 year limit for the Droid Turbo (Fall 2014) is almost hear. You had a delayed update to...

    Newer is not always better....

This is comparing Apples to Oranges (not a comparison of two current Gen Flagships). The S7 Edge is a brand new, current generation flagship that is two Generations newer than the Turbo (I am talking about the GS5 is the same generation flagship from Samsung). The Turbo is now on Clearance...

Motorola Droid Turbo: Bugs, quirks, problems and more

Worth buying Today? Verizon is clearing out their inventory of the Droid Turbo (original version) for $240. It looks like a darn good deal on a former flagship (3 GB, 32 GB (non-expandable storage - no 64 GB model, Snapdragon 805 @ 2.7 Ghz, 5.2" QHD screen, 21 MP camera (I think it's the same...
