This may be somewhat related to the dreaded "bootloop error". My Nexus 5X experienced all sorts of problems after upgrading to Nougat. Aside from the frequent freezing/lagging of apps, the phone would also randomly reboot on it's own. It's a known error that has caused aggravation to lots of 5X...

Just arrived today. The Gumdrop Very bulky but offers the best in nearly G-Shock grade protection.

The screen protector that came with my Gumdrop case seems to work fine so far. Although not as responsive as a bare screen it is stylus friendly. Screen clarity isn't half bad either.

I've been getting that same error for the past two days. And as noted by other Nexus 7 owners here, it doesn't seem to be affecting anything. I'm currently using another Android device, Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, and it doesn't exhibit that error.
