    Thanks anyway. I'm thinking a backup and restore would be pointless and instead starting over with a factory reset would be the way to go.

    I tried that. I'm not using Good Lock. I tried another camera app and the problem persists.

    I did. The issue persists. Just tried safe mode again and clear pics.

    Okay, I booted in safe mode and the pictures cleared up. What does that tell me? I should reset the phone to factory default and start over? I'm thinking a full backup and restore would not get rid of the issue?

    Lens clear and clean. All pics. I'll need to find out how to boot to safe mode.

    I've tried everything to fix this issue. My next idea would be a factory default reset. Do you think this is a waste of time? I'm afraid this malfunction will affect its trade in value or I would do that most likely. It's less than 2 years old.
