For those of you with the proximity issue problems, do you have the 'pocket sensor' on? I noticed when I turned that off, all my problems with the proximity sensor went away.

That's the biggest drawback for the Photon for me. There's a pretty decent chance that ROM's will never be available because of the locked boot loader. I'm just hoping someone can root the phone w/o requiring the dock. I don't think I'll buy it w/o being able to root at least.

Late summer I've heard late summer, like Aug. That would fit with how Sprint's boneheaded marketing works. Announce a phone, get everyone excited, then wait 4 months to actually release it.

Are you able to see the screen well in the sunlight? I took a look at the demo nexus in the store and was less impressed with the screen than I expected. My wife's Evo was much brighter than the Nexus. I was quite surprised.
