Hilarious... If you opt out of the beta program Google suggests you "uninstall and reinstall the app" Thanks Google but you can't do that since the Google app is considered a system app all you can do is disable it therefore you can only roll back to some ancient version which might have come...

Just uninstalled beta version and installed Version: 6.11.19.16 and still have the same issue. At this point Google search works but none of the cards work, Google Now cards screen obviously shows the "update" error but there is no update.

Same thing... Mine started last night Google Now launcher cards are broken also. Started about 9pm CST 1. I am using an S7 2. I'm a "beta" app user, although uninstalling the beta version does not resolve the issue. 3. Resetting phone does not resolve the issue. 4. Clearing cache does not fix...
