Thank you for the response. I could not find the Mic under quick settings, but I did find the field ("Mic Access") and added it to the quick settings. Unfortunately, it is already enabled. I toggled it from blocked to enabled with no effect on the issue.

I have the exact same issue. Microphone on home screen no longer functions, but microphone on search screen works just fine. "How can I help?" just sits at bottom of screen when I tap the home screen microphone icon. If I activate with "OK Google", the microphone also works (right now)...
