Why argue about lithium batteries when you can simply refer to the facts...

I had this happening for certain apps (no vibration notification). I simply disabled notifications for the app (on the phone through app manager) and then reenabled them and it did the trick.
Are you, by chance, running a 3rd party watchface? I've found that some of those can absolutely KILL the battery. If you're still seeing this behavior with a stock watch face then you may have an issue with your watch.
That's a great looking watch face man! Do you have it available for download?
Also - what are you using to create your own watch faces? I'd like to take a shot at it as well.
This was my early experience as well. I reset the watch, deleted and reinstalled Android Wear and then it worked as expected.
Then I happened to use a third party watch face and I saw my battery draining like mad. I'm not sure which of the two things (or both) fixed my issue. But I know that...
Re: For those concerned about battery life
OK - this makes perfect sense then. I guess I naively just started plucking watch faces from the Play Store thinking that they would work just fine. This was probably my issue from day one. I'll stick with the stock faces for now and wait for the...
Re: For those concerned about battery life
I think certain watch faces are KILLING the battery on this watch. There's a really nice watch face - speed something or other. Love the way it looks but as soon as I switch to it this morning my battery started draining at an alarming rate. I went...
Re: For those concerned about battery life
Very similar results as I'm now experiencing. Completely agree with your experience. I was really worried yesterday and was seriously one day from returning it to Best Buy but I'm glad I tried one last thing... it worked and I'm happy.
Re: For those concerned about battery life
What do you consider to be bad battery life? I think it's an important frame of reference. For me personally... as long as it lasts for my awake hours during a typical day (with a little cushion - say around 20-30% remaining by midnight) then that's...
Re: For those concerned about battery life
OK... MUCH better results so far today. I've had it on since 7:50 this morning and I've still got 68% remaining (as of 4:40pm - so just shy of 9 hours). That's respectable to me - I can easily charge it at the end of the day.
Something must have...
Re: For those concerned about battery life
I even deleted and redownloaded AW and reset the watch. I either got a lemon or there is some sort of issue with the Note 3.
Re: For those concerned about battery life
I have mine paired with a Samsun Note 3. Ambient is off, auto brightness on.
As another frame of reference. I charged the watch up when I got home tonight. Put it on the charger around 7:30. It was at 90% around 9pm. I put it back on my wrist...
