Since restarting the phone, I am unable to replicate the bug. Either that, or it's only chat notification which trigger it. It's 2am so my chats are quiet. If it happens again on a chat notification, I'll go into safe mode and ask my friend to text me

What do you mean? Literally, any notification from any app will do it. I don't feel like sharing screenshots of my chats. I've tried clearing the cache and force closing. The problem persists. I will try a different virtual keyboard to see if it's a problem with Pixel's Distribution or with...

I also suffer from this same problem. I have a pixel 6 on Android 13 and use Gboard 12.3 All notifications which pop up on the screen will minimise the keyboard and I can't reopen it until I swipe the notification away
