I am guessing that when the ICS update goes live that they will also update what the supported versions of the firmware are. That will make the phone list as being supported (and that there is an update).

Unfortunately, the "there is an update but the servers are busy" message really should just say "the servers are busy" It has nothing to do with there actually being an update.

Must be a difference in settings, vlingo-in-car part of vlingo works with "call john" over bluetooth for me.

I just verified with the latest 2.3.6 that if I "long press" my bluetooth button, the only options I get are Vlingo and Vlingo in-car. I believe that 2.3.6 fixed some issues people were having with multiple bluetoooth devices paired with the phone.
