I've got a Nexus 9 with 5.0.1 on it. I haven't had any problems with Netflix. But HULU has had issues from the get-go. It works just fine until it hits the ads. I don't have any adblocking apps or anything like that. I've corresponded with their development team but never did find a solution.

I'm having the same issues. At first it was simply that it wouldn't load the ad, but if I start the episode partway through (like watch a minute or two on another device and then switch to my nexus 9) then it seems to play well until it hits the second ad. That's when it freezes up my tablet...
