Question on purchasing unlocked HTC One S on ebay

I was thinking it may mean that it is "blocked" but not "blacklisted" on T-Mobile, so it would work on AT&T's network. I am going to try contacting T-Mobile over chat and maybe they will understand better what I am asking and be able to help me. I just want to know if they will be able to tell...

Question on purchasing unlocked HTC One S on ebay

I saw a listing for an unlocked HTC One S on ebay and thought I might purchase one. However, I noticed it says, "It works on ANY GSM NETWORKS IN THE WORLD, with an exception of T-Mobile, Solavei, Simple mobile and any networks under T-Mobile." What does that mean exactly? Does it mean...

    Two Note 2's, Different Results

Nice! Yeah, we are better equipped to deal with it. I'm fine having to manually switch brightness. I was outside today, and it definitely did not get as bright as needed on auto like the other one did. We are a shield against such unpleasant realities. She'll never know, because I'll never...

    Two Note 2's, Different Results

I agreed, and didn't end up returning it. My fiancee just gets the one that in 'my mind' is the better one. They are both great phones. No way I could go back to the Bolt or Rezound.

    Two Note 2's, Different Results

Good idea. I'd think it would save a bit of battery. It may be that they just come out a bit different like you suggest. I don't have a problem with it, as it hasn't dropped any calls and gets 4G in the house. I was a bit worried about Samsung signal quality, but the Note 2 seems just as good or...

    Two Note 2's, Different Results

Yeah, I did a factory reset while I was there in the store because it was on 3G while the other was on 4G after getting the cards in. Then it was at least on 4G when it rebooted (had a great signal in-store so I was thinking there's no way it would only do 3G). There was a global mode...

    Two Note 2's, Different Results

I recently purchased two Verizon Note 2's from Amazon new off-contract. Since I've been setting them up, I've been noticing some oddities about one of them. One of them seems to have worse signal strength (like right now one is -100 dBm, the other is -105dBm, pretty consistent this gap...

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

Thanks for the responses. Pretty sure I am going with the Note 2 flashed to Page Plus so I can at least cut down on my monthly bill. I think VZW's network is the best, but I don't want to pay such a high fee for it since I'm okay to be on 3G. And who knows, Page Plus may be getting 4G at some point.

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

Well, it sounds like a great device. My options for 4G at this point look like either the Razr Maxx HD as more of a traditional smartphone or the Note 2. Is there a reason (assuming you have an upgrade), you would even go for the KF HD when these large screen phones have most of the same...

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

I've thought long and hard about what I really want to do, in general, and on a somewhat limited budget. It's just one of those things... More and more, I'm wanting to get out from under the yoke of Verizon. I ask myself, "Do I really need this limited-data 4G at all?" And, if I don't, then I...

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

Yeah, I admit I have little experience with larger phones. I guess I'm basically coming from the standpoint that the TBolt is already so bulky with the XT battery that I'm assuming larger (screen size) phones will feel the same way. I don't want to go back to having a smartphone feel like it's...

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

That's what I was thinking as the most likely candidate, if I'm not going to 3G/PagePlus. It seems to have the least amount of threads with issues concerning poor reception.

VZW Phone with Great 4G Reception

I'm looking to upgrade from a TBolt. I've had a great experience using the TBolt, rooted with ThunderShed 1.4 on imoseyon 6.2.1AOSP+ kernel. Battery life isn't too bad and signal is great with the latest radios installed. It's amazing how it is since I originally got it. No reboots ever, BT...
