well that sucks i didn't even test that but i'll fix it the way i fixed the leak since i already rooted my dx again.

if you leave gps turned on it seems like it only activates the gps when it needs it example when you open maps the gps icon on the task bar appears and when you close it, it disappears so i'm assuming its turning it self on/off as needed. but it needs to be on int he locations setting menu.

Rooted 2.2 OTA per the instructions and working 100% so far root explorer requested root access haven't tested any other apps yet. tested other root req'd apps and all works good.

maybe its a 2.1 issue? well maybe its my phone but i'll be able to tell because i have VZW shipping me a replacement dues to one of my hardware buttons not working 100% of the time.

i'm using an ezestand, and when i place my phone on the stand it jumps into dock mode very quickly but when removed it takes 30 secs to refresh my home screen with shortcuts widgets ect... Any one else having this problem? Or is it cause by lack of free memory?

i have had this problem well still do. i'm going to contact VZW about getting a replacement my wfe has a DX too and she never has any problems with her's. it sucks cause i compare my phone to hers all the time when i have problems and i nit pick at everything.

i'v scored in the low 1300's after a battery pull. but after a day of use with around 50 megs of memory i tend to fall around 1100 - 1200.

ahh i have an eze stand. And the screen doesn't time out when plugged into a pc's usb port? i have it plugged into the wall and placed on my ezestand and the back light didn't dim at all.

I'm having the same problem but it seems its only when my phone is not in use for a period of time i did a factory reset. And now i notice that when my phone connects to wifi the 3G icon goes away faster then it use to before. it use to linger for minutes before going away.

ok so when i dock my droid X into my ezestand the back light dies after the set amount of time. i have the phone plugged into my pc and set it to charging only. I read that the original droid does this too when plugged into a pc and not to a wall outlet. Is there any thing i can do to stop this?

Free memory what is a normal amount i know its all based on how many apps you have installed/running. But asking more so i know when i am over loading my droid-x or my droid-x is running crappy due to a memory leak.

i'm new to android and not sure but when attaching a file to one of my outgoing emails it take me directly to my pictures. Is there any way or an app that allows you to attach sounds or any other files?

is there a panoramic function? or are you guys using 3rd party software?

are there any email apps? i have a droid-x and i can't copy or paste from emails that are in my inbox. Plus the only email accounts that have a two way sync are gmail. i just wish there were some apps with options. The basic email set up doesn't really have any thing.

i would say the screen is not any where near scratch proof i have 3 fine scratches on my screen and not even sure how they got there. i'll be returning the phone for a replacement for sure.
