Same problem here with Moto G gen 3 on Marshmallow. Using a 32GB SD as "adopted storage" shows only 1.43GB of card memory used while internal storage shows warning "running out". With this setup there's no way you can move apps and data onto the SD card. I removed all but a few essential apps...
