I just got a RhinoShield CrashGuard for my 4 XL. I like it a lot more because it keeps the back of my orange 4 XL exposed.

I don't think it's an exciting upgrade if someone is coming from a Pixel 3, but I've never thought yearly upgrades were very exciting. I'm coming from a 2 XL, though, and I can't wait to get my orange 4 XL later this week.

I just got a second warranty replacement (mic stopped working on the replacement, and that one was sent due to the volume rocker falling out of my original phone), and they actually sent me a new phone. It was in the retail packaging, unlike the special box they have for the refurbished phones...

Yeah, the app is a bit buggy right now. It has frozen on me a few times and doesn't always save the pic. However, when it does...WOW. The difference really is almost like night and day for some shots. And for all we know, the final, official release may be even better. Without Night Sight...

I just downloaded the version with Night Sight enabled and WHOA.

I only upgrade every other year. It's really not necessary, especially when so many of the features I want are coming to the 2 XL. I mean, I just downloaded the Pixel 3 camera for my phone to try Night Mode and WHOA. I REALLY felt like I didn't need a Pixel 3 after seeing that.

No burn in or image retention for me. I'm not seeing muddy color or grainy textures. The color tinting? My iPad Pro does the same thing as my Pixel 2 XL, and literally nobody is making a huge deal about how the iPad Pro display is trash. I'm not saying anyone needs to justify my purchase. I'm...

No--but someone should at least have some experience with one before weighing in. We don't even know if many of the people saying the screen is terrible even have that. I'm not sure why the opinion of someone who has little to no experience with the phone should matter, let alone matter as much...

All I said was that if it weren't for all the complaining, I never would have noticed anything about the screen because all screens have some sort of color shift to a certain extent. There's nothing for you to dispute about that. If you think it sucks, that's fine, but your experience is not...

I wish it wasn't buried behind the menu button. It's annoying to have to press that and then select the portrait mode before taking a pic. I wish Google would fix that in an update.
