Why does MMS say download failed? Galaxy S8+

^ This post ^ I have have been battling with and frustrated by this identical issue since upgrading to Oreo a few weeks ago. Countless Google searches and posts from numerous Sprint and Android forums got me nowhere until yesterday, when I finally found this post. Problem solved, thank you so...

Still get Android 2.1 from HTC?

I'm not going back to stock, period. The Sprint update may well have the root exploit patched shut, and there will be numerous ROMS available within days, if not hours of the release. Hypothetically, even if there were no alternatives, I'm plenty happy with the functionality and performance of...

    Facebook?

I've tried both DC and Fresh, and it took both quite a while to complete. I've settled on Fresh, and once synced, it stays synced.

Damage Control 2.1 or Fresh 2.0d?

When loaded up above 100mb (haven't set apps2sd up yet), I'm finding Fresh to be the faster and smoother of the two.

    HTC clock widget bug?

Same deal in Aurora. Funny thing is, when I go to neighboring towns like Naperville or Geneva and the widget specifies those towns, I get the right time. When the widget says "Current City", I get the right time. When it says "Aurora" or "Chicago", the two largest cities in Chicagoland, it's an...

    SMS Issue

IMO, both ChompSMS and Handcent SMS handle text messaging far better than the stock app, and in my experience keep everything assigned to the proper threads. Between the two, I prefer Handcent by a small margin, only because I find it more customizable.

Where the heck is Visual Voice Mail...

It's on the the right side of home screen, below the clock/weather widget and above Camera. It's actually VVM.

    Palm Pre or HTC Hero?

I have them both and I think they are both terrific phones. I agree that the Pre is not very tweakable out of the box, and some of the features left out of a smartphone made absolutely no sense at all, at least to me. The tweaks available at PreCentral.net have vastly improved things, especially...

    HTC clock widget bug?

Good news: The alarm appears to be linked to the system time, not the widget. If you tap on the time widget and set the alarm to the actual time that you want, without compensating for widget error, the alarm will still ring at the correct time.

HTC Hero Tips, Tricks, and Easter Eggs

Another quick and easy way to jump to your new text from another app is to drag down the notifications at the top left corner. That pulls down a list of all unacknowledged events; tap an event from the list to select.

    HTC clock widget bug?

I just read your linked thread where you mentioned you wanted it to work properly while traveling to Chicago. Bad news: I'm in a Chicago suburb and the widget reads an hour slow. I haven't gone into the city with the phone yet, but I'll let you know what happens when I do.

    HTC clock widget bug?

I don't think that's the case, because the system phone on the notification line shows the correct time. I'm leaning towards wondering if it's because just above my city in the hometown list, there is another city with the same name as mine, but in a another state and time zone that just happens...

    HTC clock widget bug?

Thanks, Sprint Level 2 TS gave up and pawned me off on HTC. I haven't called them yet; decided to go the forum route first.

    HTC clock widget bug?

I have a minor issue where the HTC clock/weather widget on the home screen runs an hour behind (ie: current time 4:51pm, widget shows 3:51), while the correct time displays in the notification bar. I've reset my home city, tried to fake it out by selecting a major city in the same time zone...
