I frequently have problems using my Droid 2 Global where the screen turns off almost randomly. I assume the in pocket detection is at fault - but I can't find any way to adjust this or turn it off. Is there a way? I'm running Gingerbread OTA stock.

Essentially - this type of vulnerability is what killed these kinds of uses of bluetooth. The idea of using a wireless connection for payments scares me - but I'm sure at some point in the future the risks will be outweighed by the benefits.

Root and run the tool from Trevor. I rooted simply to run that tool. I have a Droid 2 Global. The good news is that no VZW phone so far has been found to have this. AND VZW has claimed that they do not use it. Please consider updating this thread...
