Seeking beta btesters for Easter Eggs - a fast paced «Find the objects/ISpy» game

Hello All, After months of toil I have finally released an early version of my new game on Google Play store - the iOS version will follow soon. The game, Easter Eggs, is a fast paced "Find the Objects/I Spy" game designed for all ages. To install it on your Android 6+ device just follow this...

    Spammy posts on this forum?

Yes, I see the triangle with the exclamation mark. It is in gray which is why I never paid much attention to it. I am slightly surprised that spammy posts should make it through - there are very reliable ways now to block such content.

What is com.sec.unifiedwfc in my google activity?

This is the Wifi calling app from Samsung. I have never owned a Samsung phone but I assume that it is one of their factory installed apps. You can check it out here.

How can you force only WiFi calls and disable cellular service when outside US

What Google told you is essentially correct. Switching to cellular when there is no Wifi is default Android behavior and AFAIK it cannot be overriden. I often find myself in the same situation as you. I revert to a rather more extreme option - I simply deactivate my SIM and get all my calls on...

    Spammy posts on this forum?

Forum admins - I have been unable to find a link to report apparently spammy posts. However, there appear to be a large number of posts today in Chinese or Japanese with links to some sort of Casino/Gambling site.

    Moien from Luxembourg

I have been around on these forums for a few days now but never got around to introducing myself till today. I am a full stack developer who has graduated through pretty much every software technology you can think of starting with "Fast Basic" in the late 1980s. In my early days I was a C...

    what was your first smartphone?

A little clamshell Nokia phone with an antenna about 3cm long permanently sticking out at the top. I remember being on a train and feeling really cool having such a compact phone when I saw people using their "brick" phones and spending a few seconds extending the transistor radio style antenna...

    Kotlin or java?

Kotlin is certainly the way to go for new projects. However, this has to be balanced against the fact that there is soooo much more well documented sample code for everything imaginable in Java. You could also run into an issue with wanting to use a third party service - e.g. instant messaging...

    LG G7 back button

I wasn't aware the the back button could be used to open/close the screen - and cannot see how. I have the LG G7 Fit where you can double tap to turn the screen on/off - this only works with native Android screens, not when an app is showing on the screen. Double tap to turn the screen off is...

    [App][Free]Guitar Tuner

I downloaded it and tested it - does what it says. I assume you created this as a "fun" app? Thing is - there are a fair number of decent guitar tuner apps around so you should not treat this as a commercial offering.

    Best Messenger App for Android?

In my view the right way to go about choosing a text app is to first see what app the majority of your nearest and dearest are using and then choose that. After all, the whole point is to be able to keep in touch with people instantly. You could choose the "bestest" most secure app but if not...

Using json data how to show table of content in android

Ummm.... what is your question here? You appear to be asking how to create an Android app to display JSON data from MySQL. That question is way too broad and I suspect not quite right for this forum. You are better of trying Stackoverflow though if you pose the question in its present form...

What is the Best Android Phone under $200?

If anyone reading this thread is starting to get concerned about using Chinese tech consider the LG G7 Fit. It has an excellent screen, a decent camera, an NFC reader, finger print sensor... - all for well less than USD 200.

Help with a very curious issue

I doubt that you are going to find a solution to this issue through a forum such as this one. You do need to have some clue as to what might possibly be going wrong. You mention that you made changes to the app code so I assume that you are technically minded? If so, consider doing two things...
