Leaked images = Phones not handled correctly. Who wants to be seen 'leaking' the phones appearance? So since its not passed around nicely, it got the scratch. Oh and a cover just after buying it would save you, best way to keep the phone safe.

I use an S5 with 16gb with an 8gb SD card (Yeah I do not need much). I would not even need an SD card until I upgrade S8.

According to the main question, at this point, I would rather go with the phone I visually like and the one I've been using. After all, using samsung since S2 means ur comfortable with it, switching to pixel would be new for me, in some cases, too new, and 'best phone' does not mean S8 is not...
