Thanks but I'm not looking to max out the charging capability for a faster charge time. I think it's better for the long term life of the battery to keep it cooler while it's charging. I would think the 25W would generate quite a bit more heat at each charge.

Yes it will charge a little faster compared to a 15W 2A, but not as fast as a 25W charger. But I prefer not to use a 25W charger because of the heat generated. Like you said slower charging is better for the battery.

The brick is a QC 3.0 Motorola "TurboPower" fast charger so wouldn't it still perform as a fast charge for my new phone? Unfortunately the cable is not USB C so I will need to buy a cable at least.
