Hi there. I get this issue as well as the unplugging issue. It's a massive headache for me. I have wiped the phone and used insurance to get a new one on Monday, a replacement Note4. Will post back if I see any differences. Perhaps the ROM is knackard.

My backups were always configured to my gmail account. I can see the device and apps listed on there, wouldn't calendar be backuped up as a default?!
