Yup battery life is absolutely amazing. Have the phone for over 3 months and I never need to charge more than once in 2 full days.

For voice like phone calls and GPS direction it's fine. But for music it does sound tiny and unclear. My P3 speakers are clearly better than the P5. It's not a deal breaker for me though with everything else I like about the 5. I like using headphones for music and video anyway.

The first 2-3 days after upgrade the battery was worse. Now it's been a week and the battery life seem to get back to what Android 9 used to be. Perhaps it just takes a few days for it to adapt.

Why not black out the notch area by default and still have the icons (wifi, time, battery etc) at the top of black out region in white color? From what I have seen it looks like you can black out the notch but the icons get push down and reduce the real estate which makes no sense.

Google mobile service. The Fi version of Pixel 3 is the same as unlocked version. It probably just come with the Fi activation kit in the package. You do not need to use the Fi service. They are all unlocked.
