Thanks for all your help. I seem to have google internet, google chrome internet and samsung internet. So after finding all pages open in background as well as clearing all 3 internet caches they have not downloaded now for days.

I have noticed they download when launching google, chrome or samsung internet. I have virus protection but nothing has been picked up. I am considering restoring to factory settings but don't want the hassle of downloading all my photos etc.

No they are still dowloading. I cleared cache from reinstalled yahoo app as well as google, google chrome and samsung internet. Not sure where the download manager is?

The yahoo app was uninstalled yet the attachments are still downloading from the deleted yahoo email. This is why I am completely at a loss. I have tried extensive googling but only one other question has ever bern asked and no answers. I'm not surr where I can go to for help.

So it looks like I have to clear cache from yahoo app - but if it is unintalled I have no app to clear cache? Would reinstalling yahoo app have the same cache or do I have a major internal software problem now with a phantom cache that keeps downloading a long gone email attachment? So frazzled :/
