I've heard it is supposed to be 3 years, but Google could change that. My issue with most phone manufactures is how the roll out feat8 and security updates.
As a Samsung fan, I'd go with the Pixel 3. Faster updates is the main reason, but I also want a stock Android experience. I'm also a fan of the Pixel 3 design.
I say this from the point of not owning a Pixel 3, I still want one. All phones have the potential of having issues because we're dealing with technology. People need to look at it based on their experience and not that if others. When you focus on what others are saying then you're just waiting...
They're not punishing anyone. Some people wait before buying to see what type of issues if any a product will have. The company lowers the price to seal the deal with those on the fence.
