The search (magnifying glass) for me only searches for contacts in my address book, not previously called phone numbers. I see the same behavior using the search button from the call history and from the contacts screen. However, even if I added the number as a contact, that still doesn't help...

Ah-ha. Yes either long press on the number or click on the three dots and select "Call details" gives me a call history for a number. That gets me halfway there. That's useful when I called the number recently. But what if I haven't called in months or years? How do I search for a phone number...

I'm trying to find a way to search my phone call history. I want to see all calls made to or from a specific phone number. I'm using the built-in Phone app on my OnePlus 6T running Android 11 but I'm happy to use another app if one exists.
