Bosshawk, thank you very much for the solution!. Changing the APN protocol fixed this problem for me too. I found that using the iPv4/iPv6 setting also works and preserves the capability to use iPv6 addresses. Ever since the 5.1 update, my phone was chronically losing it's T-Mobile data...
