I set everything up right, but unfortunately, the Chromecast does not want to connect to either of my home networks. I think I have Upnp enabled since I have a plex server running and am able to access it. Why isn't this working and has anyone else run into this problem?

To add something to make it seem like it is worth 13 hundred dollars. I have a C7 chromebook and there is no need for a touchscreen right now.

With the default messenging app, I do not think you can do this. However with most Play Store alternative apps, you should be able to.

Try restarting the launcher or deleting the shortcut and adding another back onto the homescreen.

Did you flash the right ROM? Have you tried flashing a seperate ROM and see if that works?

Isn't that called an android tablet? Kidding aside, this probably won't work. What is the point of having a desktop interface on a tablet if there is no mouse and keyboard. Chrome OS is meant to be used with a mouse, not a finger.

Go ahead and do a full wipe. The best way to get back into the phone is to wipe it. Just reflash the older one and then download the newer one and flash that one next. Sorry about having to lose your data :/

There is a nice post over on the Subreddit /r/Android which has a great deal of apps that they recommend that only work on root. CM10 is great, I would also suggest Paranoid Android. You can find a lot of ROMs for your S3 at XDA.
