Thanks for the reply rukbat… so I take it on android devices, the updates are handset/carrier based rather than apples' just handset regardless of carrier? I appreciate the information and I look forward to 5.0 lollipop although it looks like a verizon htc one hasn't recieved it yet 😡

Hello I just purchased a htc one and am currently waiting to activate it until my iPhone's plan runs out and was noticing that I cannot update from Kit Kat 4.4.2 to 4.4.4. As I said before I have not activated the phone with verizon yet and there is no sim in it. Sorry for such a noob question...
