If I'm not mistaken, this adds more Verizon apps and updates the Samsung store. Basically it fixes nothing just adds more crapware. And, most importantly why I opted out of the update, it will prevent any future attempts to root this phone. :)

Yeah, I actually ran across that, but checking their forums there was a boatload of disgust this thing would not sync at all. Kinda leery about dropping 30 bucks only to realize it may not work. Did you have any issues syncing your device to your computer?

Thanks for the suggestion. Instead I got a little program called gSyncit, and now every time I open Outlook (there are other preferences) it calls to my gMail account and syncs everything automagically! A few seconds later my phone is updated - nice :) Downloaded some apps from the Marketplace...
