I am having similiar issues, however if I remover the batter and reset it, i can get connectivity enough to charge at a reasonable rate. I have a spare battery as well. I am researching batter saver apps which are a help alleviate the situation until I find permanent solution.

Where would one get an external charger for the S3 mini. I can' t seem to locate one.

Update 8-20-13. Having had my S3 Mini for about 6 months now, it is persisting in giving me charging problems as of last week. I need to remove the battery and reboot before and after each charge in order to maintain a decent level of power and to recharge the phone. NOT happy about this, I...
