What phone are you ditching to get the Note 4? Why?

We went from s3's, but traded in a Tmobile Dash & ATT Tilt to Best Buy for the $200. I think the guy taking in the trade was still in elementary school back in the dash days! Moved from Sprint to Verizon, we'll see how they do.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - What are the best practices on how to migrate data/apps to a new phone?

Re: Best practices on how to migrate data/apps to a new phone Quick follow up, Helium worked GREAT for my move from S3 to N4. It was able to back up and restore majority of my apps. Example - K9 mail, and all its settings. Done. I really didn't want to have to reconfigure all my email...

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - What are the best practices on how to migrate data/apps to a new phone?

Re: Best practices on how to migrate data/apps to a new phone Anyone try Helium? Not sure on rooting new phone and worrying about knox (at least for the first month or two), I'd rather something that does not require root. Did a quick search and saw a few threads mention it...

Camera shuts off when I use the stock camera's flash

I had this happen to my S3. Clearing the data as GSDer said in post 3 above did the trick, but I had to reboot the phone after clearing the data. Either way, it is fixed.

    LTE South Florida

Just saw 4g symbol on my S3 today!!! Boynton Beach - Gateway & 95 (Seacrest actually). got 8.5Mbps down & up. I never saw it before. I know there is a sprint store near where OpenSignal said the tower was, I would not doubt if they want to do the ones that would serve the main stores...

    Synchronization: OUTLOOK

I've been using MyPhoneExplorer now since I got the S3. Coming from a TP2 and windows active sync, I too was used to everything syncing, without the use of a google cloud based system. I have all google sync turned off and only use myphoneexplorer. Seems a recent update greatly increased sync...

how to keep screen off during bluetooth calls?

There's a thread in xda about this. I had/have the same issue, my workaround is after the phone call is connected, I hit the home button, then turn off the screen. The flashing on/off thing seems to be limited to the call in progress screen while on bluetooth. If you go off that screen, the...

Cant save pictures from mms messages

was just trying this, and using stock SMS app, I just long pressed on the picture and said save attachment, it saved it to the downloads folder on the internal sdcard. Maybe have to exit/reload SMS app so the msg is "old"? My test was with old message.

    Mic cutting out?

I had this happen a few times, searched a bit and saw it was a major issue with other Samsung model, nexus maybe. Tried a few things, have only had it happen once since. open the phone app, as if calling someone. Click menu & call settings. In there I disabled "voice privacy" and then in the...

Anyone try the SGS III w/ a WiDi (Wi-Fi Display) adapter?

there is a lag loading up stuff, but for the video, looks like it buffered perfect. can pause/rewind/etc, it did fine. As for the icon, It was odd, it was there, then it was not, but was on my wife's s3, then it showed back up. To get to it, I went to gallery, then opened a picture, for some...

Anyone try the SGS III w/ a WiDi (Wi-Fi Display) adapter?

Ya know, I was playing with my S3 the other day, looking at pictures and saw this icon of a tv with a number in it next to the share buttons on the top menu. Hit it, and it listed my tv. I turned on the tv and clicked it, not having a clue any of this existed on the tv or phone. It worked...
