Did you try going in to google talk's settings? Menu > More > Settings There is 'automatically sign in' and 'automatic away status'? Qwerty is ok, I don't think I could ever blind-type with it. But theres a few good virtual alternatives out there.

The top part definitely blocks the slide where the teeth come in contact with the bottom half. I tried without the back piece on and the slide was just as bad, and it is on very tight and not backwards. My amzer case did not block the slide but it was a piece of crap in most other regards. But...

I don't get the option to change the flipclock's skin to clear or to set a theme for it. Is that a separate download? Nevermind I figured it out. A little non-intuitive.

Both my wife and I went Eris to Droid due to crappy battery life. In general droid is much faster and the screen is incredibly sharp.

The black bar is just the hero. Though it'd be nice to have the black option standard. Probably saves a smidge of battery.

Turning airplane mode will probably take you through the whole day with more than 90%. Went 12 hrs during the night and didn't lose any battery life. Downside is I don't think you receive calls / email notifications, obviously. Will try with just bg data disabled tonight.
