Tried a 2 XL, now back to the iPhone X. Camera on the Pixel is better, iPhone blows out the highlights sometimes. Blue tint on Pixel didn't bother me but no way the screen is as good as the X. Notch doesn't bother me. I found battery life to be similar on both, maybe a little better on the X...

I'm going to end up keeping the X. I agree about the camera, Pixel is better. iPhone seem like it blows out the highlights. However, battery life on 2 XL and iPhone X seems about the same to me.

That's exactly my problem.

I love that weather app. Lots of information without being cluttered. Easy to get to, just tap the temperature on the home screen. Better than anything I've found on iOS.

Everyone is using themselves for examples. You all are not average users. I can not picture giving an Android phone to my dad, mom, girlfriend, or boss and even remotely expecting them to coordinate it with their iPad.

You must be young :) Us older people appreciate the bigger screen.

I'm obviously not trying to dictate what people can say. I just wanted to discuss the iPad/Android phone thing in general. Not specific to me. But that's OK, I'm happy to talk about me too :)

I wasn't really my intent to debate my decision in isolation. What I was trying to say that as long as the iPad is the most common tablet out there, I think Google is going to have a challenge selling Android phones to tablet users. Although, I don't know what percentage of smartphone users...

No. I think the thing people are missing is that the average user is not like you. They're not posting on phone forums. They don't want to tinker to make things work. So the average person that has an iPad is most likely going to want an iPhone to go along with it.

It's not that it's a problem, it's that it's easier when both are iOS. -many purchased apps work on both iPad and iPhone. You have to purchase separate apps for Android. -wifi passwords entered on one device don't have to be reentered on the other. -iMessaging -same cables -find my iPhone/iPad...
