Looked on CPSA website and the Note 7 is not listed as a recalled product yet, so no telling how long this approval process will take.. The rest of the world will have their new notes and we will be waiting on our government for decades.

Just spoke with Samsung support they told me that they were going to be shipped this week and available, but things have changed as they were waiting on the cpsc approval and it would be released in up coming weeks. I guess I will get a refund on mine rather than have a 800 dollar explosive...
