    Technically this should be easy for an ad hoc network, but. I doubt the software for either your phone or the Comcast Audio unit support ad hoc networks.

    Phono jacks are for input from turntables and probably won't work well,if at all.

    The whole point of this device is streaming over WiFi. Sounds like what you want is just a cable to connect the headphone jack to your car.
