When I put in my request I got it within 2 days. I just don't know if the unlock code is the same or if it's IMEI specific. If you've met the requirements on their website, then by law they have to give you the unlock code. So if you've met the requirements, don't worry. You'll get the code...

You should be able to request an unlock code from AT&T either through their chat or email system. I received mine right in the chat and followed their instructions and now it's unlocked. I still haven't had a chance to try another SIM card, but I followed their instructions and everything went...

That's the NFC symbol. You can just turn it off by opening up your notifications panel and then expanding it w/ the button in the top right. HTH
