On charges my S8 with official samsung wireless charger which I have done evermryday for a week now with no issue. But today it got really hot. Why would this be? Will it of damaged It? Thanks

Hi, the samsung s8 is my first ever samsung device. I really do like it but I find the speakers sound garbage. My previous phone was a HTC 10, the difference in quality is huge. What are your thoughts?

Good point, worth a try :) Im gonna have a good play on mine later, I haven't managed to turn it on yet as at work. I did have a play on a demo model and I couldn't see the difference between the 2 personally. I wonder if plugged into a Gear VR it automatically changes to the WQHD+ for screen...

why would this not be set up this way when you get your phone new? is there a reason Samsung defaults to 1x?

Hi, I was just wondering what screen setting everyone is using for there S8? I know its defaulted to FHD too save battery life. Is the WQHD+ setting so bad on battery? Does the WQHD+ look that much better than FHD+? Thanks

Hi, Does the Samsung Gear VR SM-R323 work with t the S8? Mine has a USB C adaptor so I cannot see why it wouldnt. I messaged Samsung on twitter and there said no so I didn't want to plug my new S8 in it. I just cannot see why not if the Note 7 worked on it. Has anyone tried this out...

I have ordered the normal s8. Just have to wait a while now until they are released. I hope the Gear VR is available on launch.

It really is avrough choice for me. I want the bigger of the two for day to day use, but I am going to try a Samsung for their first time as I want gear VR. I think I'm going to have a play with the two at my local store today and just go off what feels best in my hand.

That's interesting. Thanks Mike. I've been searching all day for a write up on the subject. I cannot decide between the two. It really is the pixels, screen size and battery that differ them. Never had such a hard choice in picking a phone. ??????

Before I pre order one. The S8 and S8+ have different ppi, 570ppi and 529ppi respectfully. Would this make the s8 clearer on the Gear VR than the s8+?
