I just received the OTA update on my phone. By using my Wi-Fi and network I dropped the 1GB+ update in 10 minutes. It also installed and updated in another 10 minutes; 94 apps in all. I use Nova Launcher I cannot comment on Samsung's UX 9.0. However, off the bat I can tell it's smoother and faster.

My automatic update worked smoothly for me. Didn't know it happened as it checks for an update automatically at 0300 hrs Pacific. So far, so sweet.

Downloading as I type. It seems the Apps numbered in the 240s take a long time to upgrade. Which Apps are those? No idea. I am excited none the less.

I have just installed the Lollipop update on my S5. The update process could not have been smoother. Additionally, my home screens, folders, and all icons including their location were not touched. I immediately noticed a faster, smoother response from my 9-month old S5. So far, so wow.
