It's a cheap Karbonn phone I got for $99. Oddly enough, it works just fine (i.e. lag is tolerable, it rarely crashes, battery life is decent) and it had stock ICS - a year ago.

Let's see. Here in the Philippines, I see: -A lot of S3s (I keep seeing this everyday, and it just gives you an idea of how commonplace it is) -One X (quite rare) -HTC One isn't available yet -I haven't seen any S4s (I might've mistaken them for an S3) -(a hodgepodge of low-end Android phones)...

It's a Cherry Mobile Flare :/ (in other words, a Karbonn phone that has the Cherry Mobile branding slapped onto it) It's cheap, it's reliable (it hasn't broken yet!) and it's at least stock ICS.

I agree, it's annoying. More annoying is the fact that they choose to ignore that Q2 (and Q4 if you choose to include seasonal trends of the industry) is the traditional strong quarter of HTC. Take note that Q2 is the tone-setter for the rest of the year. Should they lose money during Q2...

So, I'm an ambassador over at WPCentral. (Says a lot of things about me) And, I've thought of giving Android another chance. It runs rather well on this $99 phone my parents bought some time back, so... I say hi to y'all!
