I happen to have both the defender and the Kraken II, the Kraken II is a much better case. The Defender doesn't fit together tight and it doesn't have near the protection that the Kraken II does. They both add size to the phone but like others have said, you can drop your phone and not worry...

I have the Trident Kraken II and have had no problems with it attracting dust and lint. Not sure if they do something special or not but I love this case. It has belt clip and the little flip out stand. Great case.

I don't have the connectivity problem but I do have a few others. Mine locks up for no reason that I can figure out, just out of the blue it freezes and locks up on me. Another thing is when I am switching from doing something and try to do something else my screen turns black, sometimes after...

I would just flip out if I won this baby.:D It would at last end my search for which is the best.
