Interesting to know. So is this a problem that can be fixed given the phone is still under warranty? Or is it not worth it? Having a screen protector solves the issue, bit not everyone wants a screen protector and we paid a huge sum of money for what should be a perfect product.

I just tried something random now...I turned off the "use data lge for calls wherever possible"setting. And now it's connecting on Wi-Fi! It doesn't stay connected for long, but at least it responded. Could that have been the issue all along?

Yes but the VPN works fine on the other phone with the same Wi-Fi connection. And even with other Wi-Fi connections (such as my workplace), the VPN still does not connect on the Samsung phone.

On the huawei phone the Wi-Fi connection is 2.4g, but I cannot findt his in the Samsung phone connection settings. How do i find if it is 2.4 or 5 in the Samsung phone?

The VPN settings are within the app, as you can see in the screenshots. There is no reference to browser compatibility. By test phone, do you mean my Huawei phone? On this phone, the same vpn connects to the same Wi-Fi network, whereas this vpn in the Samsung phone will not connect- same vpn app...

I don't use these settings...I simply open the vpn application and it starts. The settings are all in the vpn app, and they work fine on 4G.

I cleared cache from two browsers and the vpn app, but still it won't connect on Wi-Fi at all.
