Try and download an app or 2 that would use a voice input, i know handcent for one. And then try and disable it again, that way it should prompt you for a choice when you double tap it. Also, after you re-enabled it, did your clear defaults become active?

Are you sure? The "clear defaults" button is just under the bottom of the screen, you'll have to scroll down slightly. I just double checked it on my S3, and it gave me the choice to set the home button to: svoice, google, handcent, or talkback something or other.

I've noticed my gps stuck like that too a couple times, if you toggle it off and wait a while it should reset the radio when you turn it back on. Try that, and then if can, boot into recovery and clear your caches, especially your dalvik cache. Hopefully that can clear things up.

Google now has been on your phone for months now dude! Go into "search", it's just google really, and hit menu, then choose enable under google now. It's up to you to set what it'll show you though.
