I am in love with the form factor and have grown tired of the 5 inch form factor. The Moto X feels better than any of the current flagships in my hand and will be my phone for the considerable future.

Anyone else notice a big of UI lag? I am coming from a Nexus 4 and I can't decide if I am imagining this or not. It may be how "busy" the sense UI is compared to stock, but it feels laggy.

I love the Nexus 4 and can't say enough good things. That said, it could make more sense to root and rom the S3 and make it what you want. You will not lose the cost of your investment, you get an SD card slot and removable battery...oh and LTE. Search Youtube for "Super Nexus project"

So I have tried 4 or 5 different ROMS based on 4.2.1 (AOKP, RootBox, CM10.1, etc). On all of them, my network signal is terrible. I can watch it go from LTE to no signal and back again in waves. When I flash back to CM10 (4.1.2), the phone runs like a champ. Has anyone experienced this...

It really is a trivial task at this point. It will take you about 5 minutes tops and is well worth the time. I highly recommend Scott's Clean Rom as a great option.

Re: Best Custom ROM I am on CleanRom ATT SE and loving it so far. I am going to spend a few weeks with this one and then try AOKP. This phone really is easy to root.

This is one of the things that makes me crazy when I am using my Android phones (I have both IOS and Android). The lack of "pocket use" drives me crazy, and I have never found a good solution. On IOS, I can use my call features with the phone in my pocket...Android I have to pull the phone out.

I have spent the past two years sim swapping iPhones and Androids. Last year it was a 4s and a Galaxy Nexus, this year a Note2 and iPhone 5. I normally go about 2 weeks before I miss something in the alternate platform and switch over. Welcome to the Android side.

I had to send my three week old Note 2 back to sammy for a screen repair ($191.00). I had the Note in a horizontal pocket and bent over in the garage...the phone fell about 5 inches and the screen shattered. I have had much more violent drops with multiple phones ( iPhones(4) , Multiple Nexus...

So do I have to install the Kies Air crap and update that way or is it pushed over the air? I have never owned a non-nexus Android phone before this one.
