yeah I thought so, and it's so noticeable, its not some subtle difference, its day and night, I'm on Pie which doesn't have any extra settings for dac, you plug in the can, the hifi icon pops up you can choose turn the dac on the off but that's about it, I have no knowledge of whether it worked...

its becoming a problem because I have to charge it first to enjoy the dac otherwise I'll have to crank the volume way up (while the hifi icon still shows), let me give you an idea how 'bad' this problem is, you plug in your headphone, the hifi icon pops up but the volume is low, then I charge it...

for normal charging I just plug it into my pc's usb port, so that's without an adapter, I fiddled around in hifi setting while charging but didn't see anything about resistance, which option were you referring?

anyone? I've done more tests and been able to reproduce it on ATH-M20 every time, seems you have to charge it in order for the hifi dac really kicking in, it works on wireless charging as well, I can hardly believe i'm the only one who has this issue, its a brand new phone not second hand or...

been using v30 for a month now, I've noticed sometimes the headphone gets noticeably louder (which to me sounds very good) when on charge but it seems to be quite random so I'm not sure what's causing it, could it be DAC deploying different setting for impedance? it does occur from time to time...
