Not Receiving Texts from One Contact

I appreciate the condolences. On the imessage issue. I have not used an Iphone in several years and have been unregistered on it since. I am the only one in the family not on an iphone and I receive messages just fine from all the other iphone users, so I seriously doubt it is that. Besides, it...

Not Receiving Texts from One Contact

I don't know if this is a Samsung Note issue or not, but since I received my replacement Note, I have one contact that I just cannot receive any messages from. He sees mine and responds, but I see nothing in return. I have even held his phone in my hand and sent myself a message and nothing ever...

Only 18% are going back to the Note7

My main question is whether Samsung will just decide it isn't worth it to release Nougat for this phone, considering there will be fewer people wanting or owning it?

Only 18% are going back to the Note7

You can't trust anything from Survey Monkey unless you are asking workers where they want to eat for lunch today. It is not anywhere near a good sample. They did no research to contact owners, just let people claim they are owners. The margin of error on this must be in the neighborhood of 300%...

Replacement Note 7s have improved better software?

Leave it to ***** Verizon to gimp useful changes. I really hate that company. The only reason I stay with it is because my wife refuses to change.

Couple of Days With the Phone and A Question About Volume

One would think so. From what I can see, Moto is trying to blame Google, when it was working fine before Moto's update. Then you have the built in delay that Verizon puts on any update. Who knows, they may have already put a fix out there, but Verizon is doing their usual slow walk to the...

Couple of Days With the Phone and A Question About Volume

I can't see how the volume boosters can override the phone firmware or OS. From what I was reading, most of them just quickly raise the volume to the maximum as defined by the phone software. I will try a couple tonight, but I also notice many are simply ad vectors.

Couple of Days With the Phone and A Question About Volume

As much as I hate to say it, I am afraid I am going to have to return the phone and get a Note 7 back. On looking and commenting on the Moto forum, Motorola won't even acknowledge there is a problem, so I have no confidence they will fix the issue. Most of the other things I can work around, but...

    Auto Brightness Not Working

Ok. I think I figured it out, but it is not intuitive. In fact, it seems a backwards way to do it. Apparently the brightness slider is the base of the brightness, the lowest brightness will go. The adaptive brightness works from there. I set the slider to a low amount, went into a dim room and...

    Auto Brightness Not Working

Has anyone noticed that automatic brightness is not working? I have double checked the settings and no matter what the ambient light level of the room, the brightness does not change at all.

Couple of Days With the Phone and A Question About Volume

I have had the phone for a couple of days and there are things I really like about it. It is a good phone. Pretty zippy and some of my issues are related to just having to learn the way Android does things. My Note 7 seemed kind of like the iphone of the Android world in that it assumed a lot of...

Power Down and Don't Charge Note 7 per The Consumer Product Safety Commission

If that is the case, then we will never see them as there will not be 100% compliance. I just turned mine in yesterday (figures) and got another brand until the replacements came out. My carrier has the records that I turned it in, so they should let me replace it without waiting at the end of...

Power Down and Don't Charge Note 7 per The Consumer Product Safety Commission

Does this mean the phones are available immediately? Wish there were more specifics. They really didn't tell us much that we didn't already know.

Hey, if I am wrong, I will gladly eat my words and apologize.

Power Down and Don't Charge Note 7 per The Consumer Product Safety Commission

Well, you know that once the government gets involved, all bets are off. As much or more than Samsung is to blame, is Consumer Reports asking the CPSC to get involved and the CPSC themselves. They hijacked a process that could have gone a lot smoother and likely will delay the whole thing by...
