I am having similar issues. It works very intermittently. I noticed speeds are slow too. Not always. Just tonight when I'm trying to stream the football game! I miss ICS. I hate you jellybean. big deal, I can lay down in my bed and the screen doesn't annoyingly turn on me. UGH.

Happy to report that the WifiTether_TrevE Mod 11_22_2012_driverReload2.apk has me tethering great on Rooted stock rom. Thanks to Skunkape, TrevE, QBking77 for the video, and anyone else who made this possible. You guys are awesome! Thanks for all the help along the way.

Isn't the EVo notorious for crappy speakers? I have replaced my external and internal speaker and a week later the external was crap again.
