couple of years went by and the question still remains... is there any solution for this yet? does the new S10 is "smart" enough to find the existing internet connection?

didn't work for me... any other thought? I'm using S8 running Android v7.0

sorry to bring up this but I have the same problem and still can't connect to my mobile data while connected to a wifi network without internet connection... anyone has a solution for that?

ManiacJoe Thank you for your reply! I do have my mobile data turned on but it seems that the phone is set to use the WiFi as default if it is connected to one regardless if it has internet connection or not, since the mobile data and the Wifi are based on two different network interface cards...
