RAZR MAXX HD: Wifi issue with 4.4.2

On both my phone and my wife's, it lost all Bluetooth information: devices they were paired with and the BT names I gave them to override the defaults (which were the same on both phones and not too useful to determine which one the car was paired with). After I renamed and re-paired...

DROID RAZR MAXX HD: 4.4.2 KitKat Update

All seems fine so far. Less lag for sure. I had to repair the Bluetooth with the car. I also had to re-rename the phone's Bluetooth ID to the one I use because it reset to the generic name. I wonder why the BT parameters were wiped by the upgrade?

Need help with a Micro SD card. Got corrupted in my phone.

Do you ever get notifications that the phone is reading the card, or loading it, or the card icon appearing at odd times?

    WiFi and apps

It's possible. Speedtest uses multiple HTTP connections to try to saturate your bandwidth. Other apps that use other protocols could put different demands on the software stack. It may be a dead end, but it can't hurt to try a different channel.

    WiFi and apps

It could be channel interference. If you're in an area with other wireless routers nearby, or even cordless phones, intermittent interference is always something to suspect. Try changing the channel your router is using.

Bluetooth Share Issues After 4.3 Update

As far as I know, this phone has not gotten a 4.3 update. Are you sure you're in the right forum?

    WPA2 Enterprise Wifi

Do you not even see the network? If not, I'm not sure what you can do. Otherwise, this might help: http://www.nvcc.edu/annandale/fsrc/tutorials/Connect%20Android%20to%20a%20WPA2%20Enterprise%20Wireless%20Network.pdf It's tailored to a specific company, but might guide you through the process.

How can I get my phone to switch to best wifi?

If you can, force the access points to use either channel 1, 6 or 11 (assuming 2.4GHz). These don't overlap and, as long as one of them is not interfered with by other networks or cordless devices, will make roaming a little more reliable.

How's the Droid MAXX holding up?

The saying started out as "happy as a clam at high tide." This makes a lot of sense, since clams can then feed with impunity and not worry about predatory clam diggers. The shortened form is snappier, perhaps, but doesn't mean much. That's the thing about idioms -- they're so familiar we...

    Battery Replacement

I wouldn't recommend it for a novice, but here's a guide: Motorola Droid Razr HD Battery Replacement Guide - YouTube Note this is for the non-MAXX version. It would be similar but probably not exactly the same.

    Gmail Document Attachments?

My phone didn't have a native file manager out of the box. It sounds a lot like a couple of other users' phones didn't have a native file manager. There are a lot of references to Android not having a native file manager, like: [Gmail Attach]: Now add any file as attachement to your email...

    Gmail Document Attachments?

Because that's the way they work. When I do Attach, Picture I see, in addition to Gallery, all of the several file managers I've installed, by name and logo. Once they register themselves with Android as file managers, all pertinent contexts for file managers automatically list them. That's...

    Gmail Document Attachments?

You're not listening. The poster states that his Attach, Picture actions are limited to Gallery and Dropbox. That indicates he doesn't have a file manager to handle the operation. If he installs one, it will show up as an additional action on that menu. It's really simple. Each file manager...

    Gmail Document Attachments?

I don't know why you're insisting on repeating wrong information. Native Android behaves just like these posters say it behaves. YOU have installed at least one third-party app. Do you think Dropbox support is native? Or maybe you installed a Dropbox app, which is functioning as a file...
