Correct, for Gmail (because I do not want my gmail notifications to come through on my lock screen). Here are 3 screenshots of apps that DO have the Lock screen notifications allowed, that are NOT coming through to my locked phone. To be really clear, banners ARE showing up on my "Lock Screen"...

I apologize, I missed the second Advanced" instruction. - I hope this works, thank you!!! Also, WHO DESIGNED THIS?! Why isn't it enough to just choose "Silent" in the Gmail notifications?? UGH.

As you can see in my screenshot, "Notification Categories" is not an option in that menu (Settings > Notifications > App Notifications > Gmail). Only "Configure in Gmail".
