I have a SIM card in it. It should be ok (SIM card) if I take it out, right? I'm obviously clueless when it comes to such stuff.

Currently my phone will turn on and off, alarms go off when they should and I hear notifications, but the screen remains black. I have turned it off and on, and also taking out the battery then restarting it, but it still doesn't work. Any ideas? Will I have to do a hard factory reset...
